At Maze, we believe that every adventure should start with a warm welcome and a cozy place to rest. Nestled just moments away from the stunning beaches, lively nightlife, and exciting attractions that the Gold Coast is famous for, our hostel is the perfect base for travelers from all walks of life.

Whether you’re catching waves, exploring local cafes and shops, or discovering the vibrant nightlife, everything is within easy reach as we are located just a 5-minute walk from Cavil Avenue and a 20-minute drive from the main theme parks such as Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, and Dream World.

Our comfortable and affordable accommodation provides a welcoming haven for travelers, with communal spaces designed for socializing and making new friends. How to Find Us

Bus / Tram

Are you on a budget? We’ve got you covered! Catch the bus number 777 if you’re travelling from the Gold Coast Airport. Get off at Broadbeach South Station, then change to tram and continue on to the city. Getting off at Cavil Avenue, that is just 4 minutes’ walk from our hostel.

uber / didi / taxi

If you’re arriving at the Gold Coast Airport, you can pick up a ride to our address 3282 Surfers Paradise Blvd, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217. The fares from the Gold Coast Airport can cost anywhere between $20 – $50, prices may vary depending on the time of the day. Please see the link below for the airport map and meeting locations.

I’m under 18 can I stay at Maze?

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate you if you are under 18 years old.

Where can I get internet access?

Wifi will be coming soon.

Where is the nearest grocery store?

There is a big supermarket close by, which takes less than a minute to get to. Just Across the street, keep walking straight ahead into Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre and you’ll find COLES.

What time is check in & check out?

Check-in starts at 2PM. We have a free luggage room which you can use to store luggage before check in and after check out. You are more than welcome to chill in our TV room (Netflix & Stan included) while you wait for check in. Or just drop off your luggage and head out to start exploring the city. The closest beach to us is Surfers Paradise just 5 minutes walking from us.

Check-out is any time before 10AM. We do not offer late check outs unfortunately but you are more than welcome to extend your stay if the room is available, just come to see our friendly reception staff.

What kitchen facilities do you have?

Maze has a fully equipped spacious kitchen and dining area. It is perfect for socialising whilst cooking. All amenities are provided, such as; urn (for instant hot water), toaster, cook tops, plates, mugs, cutlery, utensils etc. We ask that you please wash your dishes and avoid taking them to your room. Please purchase a zip chiller bag from Coles to store your food correctly. Labels and a pen are next to the microwave in the kitchen to attach to your bag. Please write your name, check out date, and room number.

Do you have laundry facilities?

Yes, we do have laundry facilities. The prices are: washing: $5 per load, drying: $5 per load – no cash. Come to grab a free laundry powder from reception. Our washing machines and dryers only accept card payments.

I’m travelling on my own, is it easy to meet new people?

Absolutely! At Maze, we understand every traveller is unique. If you’re feeling a bit shy, simply inform our friendly reception staff. They’ll gladly direct you to our Events team, who are dedicated to ensuring you feel warmly embraced and right at ease during your stay.

Where is best to park?

We have a great deal with Capitol Square parking. Get your ticket validated at Maze reception.

Can I bring visitors?

Unfortunately, non-residents can’t enter. Your friends can wait at reception or book a bed with us. Subject to availability.
