TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • A credit card is required to secure your booking. Payment of stay is made on arrival (excludes New Year Peak season, for additional terms, see below).
  • Strictly over 18’s only.
  • In the event that you do not show up to honour your booking – your credit card is then charged for the first night and booking cancelled. Cancellation is required before 2pm, 24 hours before arrival (see our cancellation policy below).
  • All credit card/international transactions will incur a 1.5% surcharge. (There are ATMs very close to Maze, to obtain cash if you prefer)
  • AMEX/Travellers Cheques / Cheques are not accepted.
  • Guests staying in shared dorms must present a valid Passport upon Check-in. Failure to present valid documents will result in denied check-in with no refund.
  • All Guests staying in private rooms must present a valid photo ID (Drivers Licence, Passport or Government issued Proof of Age card). Failure to provide valid documents will result in denied check-in with no refund.
  • A $20 key deposit is required from every guest and will be returned in cash to you upon check-out, any time before 10am. Penalties apply for late checkouts.
  • Driver’s Licenses or Passports will not be accepted as a key deposit.
  • Guests only inside the building, sorry no visitors. Keys are not transferable
  • No food allowed in rooms; water is permitted. We have plenty of fridges and dry food storage areas to store your food. Open from 5am – 11pm.
  • Please note if booking more than 1 person into a dorm room, we cannot guarantee you will be in the same room. We will however try our best.
  • There is a strict no refund policy so should you decide to cancel and have paid for your reservation/accommodation at any time, we cannot issue a refund. This includes peak periods such as prepaid New Year bookings.
  • Any breach of the law (including smoking/vaping) will result in accommodation being cancelled immediately – with no refund.
  • Shared rooms are available for backpacker travellers, maximum luggage (1 large bag and 1 medium sized bag) per person.
  • No photos and videos to be taken of staff members.
  • A maximum of 28 day stay applies to everyone.
  • Any offensive language or verbal physical assault directed at staff or guests will not be tolerated.
  • Between 11PM – 7AM there is a strict no noise and alcohol policy in the building.
  • No smoking within 4 metres of the front door.
  • No alcohol to be consumed outside of the building

Cancellation Policy

  • 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations prior to check in. Bookings should be cancelled by 2pm one day before arrival.
  • All No Shows will incur a 1-night (first night) charge per our cancellation policy.
  • There is a strict no refund policy so should you decide to cancel after you have paid for your reservation/accommodation at any time, we cannot issue a refund. This includes peak periods such as prepaid New Year bookings.
  • Christmas / New Year and prepaid bookings – see Christmas/New Year terms below.

New Year package – terms and conditions

  • All New Year reservations are to be held by Credit Card and will be charged in full from 1st December. Please ensure that your funds are available during that time and any credit cards that decline, will have their reservations cancelled.
  • Once your reservation has been fully charged, it is then non-refundable/transferable.
  • You will need to provide the same credit card at check-in, for verification of booking.
  • Please ensure your email address is current so we can contact you, if needed.

Group Bookings

  • Bookings of more than 6 guests are considered a “group”.
  • In order to provide your group accommodation requirements, please fill out the Group Form
  • Any group booking which has not been authorised in advance, or has been made by several individuals/separate bookings to make it appear as though it is not a group “can be cancelled or denied at any time” in advance or on arrival. We recommend following our group bookings procedure and filling out a group request. One of our team will then be in contact with you.
  • Any bookings of 5 guests in a 6 share dorm will not be guaranteed to be together and should you purchase the 6th bed/complete room, we will endeavour to provide you with a 6 share dorm to yourselves – however, at times this is not always possible.
